           Ocular signs. A way to diagnose blood dyscrasias in children – A case series

                      Purpose: To illustrate the role of an ophthalmologist in prompt diagnosis & referral to an oncologist without delay.  
          Methods:   Case series 9- patients presented to an eye OPD in last 18-months with variable presenting complaints from frequent  subconjuntival hemorrhages to proptosis, painful red eye to sudden  decrease in visual acuity.  
          Results:   Prompt diagnosis, investigation & referral to an oncologist can help the patient receive timely treatment and prevent complications arising from delayed diagnosis. 
          Conclusion:  Early recognition of the varied ocular presentations of blood dyscrasias is important in modulating the course, treatment and prognosis in these patients.
